As a not-for-profit Christian organization, we are as concerned with residents’ spiritual enrichment as we are about physical health and wellbeing.
The Franciscan Health Center is located on the beautiful peninsula of Park Point overlooking St. Louis Bay and Lake Superior where wildlife abounds with geese and ducks flocking on the bay. To the north you can see the picturesque city of Duluth and the majestic hills.
Major emphasis is placed on services that help restore the body and spirit and encourage the resident to function as independently as possible.
A resident’s day is enriched by a variety of activities. Volunteers and auxiliary members provide companionship and support to our residents, assist with various activities outings, and sponsor a gift shop located in our care center.
Our Pastoral Care services provide spiritual care for all residents. This involves personal attention to the individual needs of each resident. The chaplain works with local clergy to meet the denominational needs regarding religious services and spiritual guidance for our residents. Franciscan Health Center is a community-oriented care center, combining residents and neighbors and events. Community interaction is welcomed and encouraged.
